Months after getting a satisfactory HIV testing from a
doctor (he assured me "no news is good news"), I had a sudden urge to
call them to be CERTAIN that the test results were negative...

..only to find out that the doctor "forgot" to mark off HIV when he
sent off my blood sample to the lab.  I was furious and terrified.  I had
to know right then if I was really clear.  I had some of the symptoms
of the initial stages of HIV, and even though others assured me they
were probably coincidental, my mind was not at rest.  I searched the
internet for testing sites that can get me the results on the same day, and
I happened upon TKNO's website.  I was a little apprehensive (I had
never heard of the org. and a stranger would be coming to my house), but I
was too desperate to be extra cautious.

I am so glad that I called.  The tester was very knowledgeable and very
supportive.  She helped me ease the anxiety I felt those 20 minutes
while waiting for the results.  Fortunately, the test results were
negative, and I was able to breathe again.  This was a very crucial moment in
my life, and I'm so grateful TKNO made it a little easier for me
(although it was no easy experience by any means).  Even if I had come out
testing positive, I know that I would have had the support I would need
at the moment.  Thank you!
